Just few days after we heard that Windows 8.1 Blue will be available next month, Microsoft has announced that it will be rolling out a new small update for its Windows Phone 8. This company has been busy for the past period working on every field. Yesterday, we reported that Windows RT tablets will be getting a new discount but there are no specific details when will this happen.
This is great news for Windows Phone 8 users who were eager to see something new on their devices. Microsoft has announced its new 8.0.10327.77 update. It includes several bug fixes and minor updates. This update is cumulative, meaning when you install it you are getting everything that was included in the previous updates.
They have brought the Xbox Music feature which enables you to pin, select and download music. Users will enjoy accurate album, song and artist information along with many other improvements. FM radio will be available for listening right from the Music + videos Windows hub. This feature won?t be available for all phones. This update includes Data Sense which will enable you to know everything about your device?s data usage. The best thing is that you can set your limit based on the data plan you are using or just keep track of all apps and how much data they are using. This isn?t supported by all operators. Skype now offers improved performance and stability while Internet Explorer has been made better and with improved HTML 5. Microsoft has improved the camera feature in this update which is not available for all mobile phones. There are other slight improvements made to Windows Phone 8.
This is a great indication that Microsoft is working on something big. It was said that Microsoft plans to roll out its Windows Blue version for phones in Q1 of 2014. This comes from sources familiar with the company?s future plans. When this update comes, users will enjoy in enhancements for their built-in apps, OS?s multitasking improvements and brand new notification center. Don?t confuse this Windows Mobile Blue with the other recently previewed Windows 8.1.
According to Microsoft, the Windows Mobile 8 users won?t wait long to see this update available on their devices. It?s just a matter of time when they will release it and it was said that they are currently working on making it available to supported devices.
